SPOTTING

August 18th, 2007 : by Will Moore

I spent Thursday night with Brian spotting the first act. Spotting is the process of deciding when and where music will play in the film. For three hours we spotted where music would begin and end and talked about themes and theory. Brian’s theory is that deciding when music should not be used is more important than deciding when it should be used. This coming Wednesday we spot the second act… more to come.

I can not wait to see it. Seems it takes a long time to create a movie. Now I know why actors/atresses charge so much. LOL
I will be waiting to see this so awesome movie, that my brother is in. And I am so proud of him.

I believe that the music makes the viewers emotions run high or low while watching the film. I now know that Spotting is the word for placing the music in the film. I believe that Spotting would be a very hard but fun job.
