This coming Monday our composer will begin work on COWBOY SMOKE. I will be meeting with Brian Satterwhite on Monday to discuss his post schedule and our overall goals for the role of music in the film. I am excited about Brian’s involvment - it has taken so long to get to this point and to put it in simple terms. . . Brian is one talented cat. Brian graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and won an award for top film scoring student of the year. His resume includes the recently nationally screened IMAX film RIDE AROUND THE WORLD, a documentary on the evolution of the Cowboy; MR. HELL, a horror film you can rent at your local Blockbuster; and THE FMC PROJECT, my first 16mm short film; as well as about 60+ other titles. He has won four festival awards for Best Impact of Music on a Film and has been interviewed about his craft by a number of publications including the industry gem Indie Slate Magazine. Brian lectures on music in Film at the University of Texas at Austin and is the producer and host of Austin local music radio program “Film Score Focus” which airs on 89.5 KMFA.
Needless to say I am proud to have Brian come aboard - I know his involvement will take this film to yet another level!
