Post-Production Update

June 22nd, 2007 : by Will Moore

I spoke with our composer Brian Satterwhite this past week and even though we’ve been delayed he remains as enthusiastic about the project as he was a year ago when we first began talking. Brian, an award winning composer, has a long list of credits including the recent IMAX film, Ride Around The World. Brian had watched a rough cut I sent him a while back and could not stop talking about how good he thought the film was and how great everything looked.

At the very least - all this time has allowed me, for better or worse, an opportunity to cut and recut the film. I pretty much watch the film daily and always end up making at least one or two cuts. I saw Bryan Singer (director of Usual Suspects, X-Men movies) speak a few years back and he made the comment that a film is never finished, what usually happens is that you either walk away from the film or just plain run out of time. I mean I could continue tweaking this thing for another year – let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

On a positive note, we do have a handful of potential investor we are talking with and things appear to be heading in the right direction so stay tuned.

I can’t wait to see it. Hope you don’t edit my brother out of the movie. He was so proud to be in it, and I am so proud for him. But, I keep looking forward to seeing it, and hope it is sooner than we think. Keep me posted.
    Thanks!

    Hey Will,

I’m ready to come home and see this movie. The immigration issue is still a hot issue and this movie is non-bias and shows common views. Unless folks have ever lived in a border state they may never know the complex and mixed issues and I think this movie will give viewers good a realistic feel. The trailer is really awesome and gets me excited and I can’t wait to see this.
Here’s an idea for a follow up film.
“Mingled with Mexican immigrants, members of a terrorist organization sneak into the US through the Texas Mexican Border and hide out in the outskirts of a small Texas town as they conduct survellience of their target and build their VBIED for the attack. Our hero returns home from the war wanting to take over his fathers cattle ranch only he comes face to face with these vilians. ” Just a crazy idea I just came up with.

You folks take care back home now, see ya’ll soon.

Seen the rough cut and when the movie is finished, I think will make one-hell of a movie. If you people have a website add the trailer to your profile so, the world will know “Thier’s a new movie in town”. Lol
Your doing a good job, Will
