RAINDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Jesse Vile, producer of the Raindance Film Festival contacted me a few weeks back and requested a copy of Cowboy Smoke.

He wrote, “My name is Jesse and I produce London’s Raindance Film Festival, the largest indie film fest in Britain. I’m writing because I came across your trailer and I’m really interested in considering this film for our 15th anniversary festival this year.”

I let Jesse know Cowboy Smoke was not completed and he replied that he was still interested, so I will be mailing off a rough cut in the next couple days. Regardless of whether or not Cowboy Smoke is selected for the festival this was exciting news I wanted to share. Jesse emailing me (from England) means that the trailer is being viewed worldwide and that there is definitely an audience for this film.

MIKE LUTZ to appear on Crossing Jordan TONIGHT!

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

Mike Lutz, one of the main characters in Cowboy Smoke, will be appearing in tonight’s episode of Crossing Jordan, which will air at 8pm (CST) and 9pm (EST and PST) on NBC. Mike plays an FBI agent on a plane that crashes at the beginning of the show.

As for Cowboy Smoke - no new, news as of yet. We have had a few small investments come in but nothing significant enough to give us the financial boost we need. We still need to have the film scored, the sound edited and mixed, graphics done for titles and the super 16mm footage mastered to High Definition. Once we have raised the remainder of the budget and have completed the above list we will begin sending off screeners to film festivals.
