Introducing…Mike Lutz

April 7th, 2006 : by Mike Lutz

Hey what’s going on ya’ll. This is my first entry. So thanks for having me.

Well, just got done reading the new script of ‘Cowboy Smoke’ and am very excited to be a part of it. I ‘m playing the part of Joe, the quickie-stop cowboy. It’s really an interesting role for me, because I would say I’m mainly a comedic actor, or at least the comedy comes easy for me. I have to be sure not to make this young man a joke, however. Joe goes through a lot during this film, ripped out of his boring life and romantic notions of the west, and into the life or death drama that is the immigrant experience. As an actor, this is exactly the kind of transformation of character you love to play. Now I need to find out just who this Joe really is…stay tuned.

(Note to self…learn how to handle a gun…well…and soon.)

Well, I shot two movies in Richmond. “The Day Lincoln Was Shot” in the summer of ‘97 and “Sally Hemmings” in the summer of ‘99. But I grew up in Texas and have lived in L.A. for 9 years.

Well, Mr. Michael Lutz! It’s dina bina from good ole Kingsville, TX! I was browsing imdb.com, showing a co-worker Kimberly Scott’s profile because she was from Kingsville, and I came across your name and this new movie you are working on. How cool is that??? Then I had to tell about goofy stories in high school w/ you and Ang, who by the way, just married this past Sat. 7/22/06. Well, I’m glad you are doing well. I’m in FL now and love it, still love Texas more, though! Take care and good luck w/ this project. I can’t wait to see it!
